Mementh
how legal is legal? If your copy was bought from the store and you paid for it (or it came pre installed on your computer) you should go back to them and demand them to fix there product (or figure out why it wont activate) If its not a legal copy.. sorry man there is nothing you can get help with on these forums.. I recomend though if its 100% legit asking if there is some way to get a new key from microsoft that does not require re-buying (IE sending in the key details) Its possable the company you bought it from uses the same key for all the computers or something and it wont validate anymore The following statement is true. Cruiser
If I remember correctly, MS is currently giving out free copies of XP if you tell them about whoever sold you the pirated/invalid key. Your best bet is to check with the company you got the computer/key from first (as mementh said) to see if they will remedy the problem with a valid one. If not, contact MS. They will most likely activate you or give you a new key/copy if it's a bad key.
