Fadfdfd
I believe he should be MVP. He has had 5 walkoffs this year! He had one the other day against the indians, a 3 run homer to win the game 9-8. I was posting this after I watched last nights thriller. Man, that Carmona is awful. One strike away and then, hits Doug Mirabelli, hits Alex Gonzolez, walks Kevin Youkalis on a 3-2 count, then, Mark Loretta smashes one off the Green Monster for a walk-off single. So anyway back to David Ortiz, he is arguably the most clutch hitter of all time. He gave the Red Sox the World Series in 2004 with those walk-offs versus the Yankees. I'll continue this later. But you can discuss it while I'm gone, but I'll finish it later. :D
Scruffy5389
All I know is, he's on the cover of the Boston Globe practically every morning for some superhuman achievement. I'd give him the title :P
Arcticrunite
A DH will never win the MVP. End of story. Most Valueable Player to his team, meaning does he go out there every day every night busting his [wagon] on and off the field in and off the plate. Papi doesnt deserve the MVP. If anyone does get it, it will probobly be Jeter. Look how he carried the Yanks on his back when A-Rod was struggling. Sure Papi has more walkoff hits, but honestly, he's a DH. He doesnt technically play, all he does is hit. Jeter plays the field everyday, busts his behind on every play, and he's batting at a .355 clip. ThurinEthir
Since I'm a Red Sox fan, I think he deserves it. But he won't get it. Why? As Arcticrunite said, a DH will never win it. I think Joe Mauer might win it, even though Big Papi is the best clutch hitter in baseball. At least A-Rod probably won't get it this year. Hopefully Jeter won't win it either. Nooooo! The Red Sox are falling apart again, like they do every August! The Yankees are heating up, and have the division lead! Noooooooo! (Almost everyone where I am is a Yankee fan, because of Chien-Ming Wang. I'm on vacation in Taiwan right now.)
