The best way is to use the blast furnace in Keldagrim. Make 5 steel platebodies and alch them. When you get to 68, make mith instead.

if you're f2p and buy all your ores, then the only way to raise smithing without losing money is smelting bars and selling them

if you buy iron 100 each and coal 200 each, you should about break even with iron bars and make 100 gp profit per steel bar

yeah but are there still worlds where they use the keldagrim furnace

cause it takes horues to make them there on your own.

and to be honest you cant raise quikly then.

this where the best ideas i had but they also have something negative.

-this is on general tip that really works.

if you have done throne of miscelania and/or also royal trouble.

you can get your people to work with you

if you visit them every day and make sure you always have 100% you get coal for 92gp or something.

this hasen't any disadvantages or is there.

if you have money there isn't but you always should have 750k in the coffers to get more then 500 coal a day but it also works with lower amounts of money only then you get less coal.

-now to the smithing.

-making c-balls.

good way to make profit with smithing before having 90 smith.

you get 4 balls for 1 bar and you can sell em for like 200 each thats 800 gp a bar.

BUT

its really really slow.

and you dont get mutch xp for making the c-balls.

still great money making

-the most popular steel plates

this is a fast way to raise your smithing but expensive.

if you make your own natures to alch the plates you still lose

300gp for every plate you make (with the miscelania coal system)

and upto 1.3k a plate when u buy coal 200 each.

-mithril plates

thesame problem as the steel plates.

-gold ores with smithing gauntlets

the best way to raise your smithing fast.

almost the same amount of xp as smelthing and smithing rune.

but the gold ore raised to 500 gp each and the abrs are like 200 to 300 gp each so not exactly a good way if you dont have more then 10 millions of gp

-iron arrows.

this is a way to raise your smithing lvl with almost no losses caus youg et 15 arrowtips for 1 bar iron BUT you have to pay the shafts and feathers if you want to raise quikly so featehrs and shafts are both like 10 gp each

you have to buy 15 of both for 1 bar thats 300gp on shafts and feathers + the bar of 100 gp thats 400 gp total and the arrows sell for 375 gp each so you still lose 25 gp each unless you find a buyer for 30 each.

-steel and mithril arrows.

same problemas iron arrows.

thats where the ideas i had but the reason i made this thread was if there wasen't a better easyier way where almost nobody thincks of.

so if anybody esle has a really good idea just post it.

tyvm

I just made 25k iron darts and sold them for 36ea. I bought my bars and feathers (220ea for the bars, 10ea for the feathers)

I made a slight profit, but the fletching part was annoying.

Why not just make iron knives? There's no fletching involved and they seem to sell decently on the forums :?

buy iron ore for 100 each, buy rings or forging or rubies (to make your own rings) and then smelt iron. bars sell for 200 to 250 each or you could make into knives, thats what im going to do to get to 85 smithing, right after mining. plus, if you mine your own ores, you get the same smithing xp as mining
