Ok, it's time to let the cat out of the bag:

 

 

 

I'm f2p, I have only played rs for ~3 months, and most of my skills are not-so-hot.

 

 

 

But, here are my goals before switching to p2p:

 

 

 

1) I want every f2p skill up to 50

 

2) I want every f2p skill on the high score table

 

3) I want to have finished every f2p quest [done already]

 

4) I want to get my mining up to level 85 (see my sig)

 

 

 

I'm starting to think that since money is not directly involved in any of my goals, that I will just powermine to get levl 85 mining--I can get 35k exp per hour powermining.

 

 

 

So I was wondering if I could get an estimate of how long these goals will take, mostly the first two as I have the last two under control

hrm, the combat skills shouldnt take too long, you should get them within a 4-5 days, other than prayer. fishing and woodcutting can be done in a day. crafting maybe in 2-3 days. cooking should be pretty fast, if u cook what u fish. hard to gauge for runecrafting, but will probably take a week.

lol im level 100 but still 58 mining -.- i've never liked that skill really lol but i'd save that 50 prayer till your p2p its much easier anyway good luck with ur goals, shouldnt take too long

Well, the way I powermine is probably the quickest way on f2p, but you need to be on the ball. I will go to the Scorpion Pit mine in Al Karid, and find the 3 iron rocks in the northern part of the mine, on the west side. If you stand in the middle of the 3 rocks, you have access to all 3 without moving, all you have to do is turn. Anyway, First I mine the south rock, then quickly the west rock, then finally the north rock. Right away I turn back to the south rock and I have just enough time to drop the 3 ores before the south rock respawns again. Waste no time in dropping the ores, you only have about half a second to a second to do it. By this method I can get ~35k xp per hour. This method also allows you to keep all the gems you mine or get from random events, which is a big plus in my opinion.

 

 

 

Have fun powermining (dripping with sarcasm) but remember to listen to music, or even late-night AM Radio, you will be less insane when you are done that way :thumbsup:

Ah, I have to say, on F2P the most challenging ones to gt to 50 wil probably be:

 

 

 

RuneCrafting: Takes a bit, yes music :P

 

 

 

Crafting: Costy, although mine silver and make tiaras!

 

 

 

The rest seem pretty good, if you get your woodcutting up to 50, you will have plenty of logs to get your FM up to 50. Might take a little more. Perhaps go for 60 WC (Yews, plenty on P2P).

 

 

 

Mining is slow, powermining is the most reasonable if you want it fast. You might need to find an alternate method though for smithing if you drop.
