La La La Lame...

Ok go. Fun little group. Fun to listen to and such. The Perishers. Fun little group lots of odd sounds in the background that is rare in music. Only other with the silly sound style I can think of is Snow Patrol. I'm sure I'm leaving out some really good groups with the same style.

What I'm getting at is these are fun to listen to. Kind of a modern beatles feeling for me. But you don't see alot of 'fun' groups mentioned on these boards why is that? Are people that chat on forums uber depressed? Nightwish, 80's music.. I mean everyone loves the 80's but when all that makes up your playlist is acdc and the such I feel for you. Add a little fun to your music. Music isn't all about talent, its also about fun...

Sorry for the little lecture, but I felt it was needed. No flames please.

Anyways... Ok go alot of people know them better for their dancing then for their music (i think). So here is a little clip from youtube.com that I recomend to everyone! all ages! happy or even sad people. Its just awesome.

What do you think of the groups I mentioned? any fans?

I've never really thought about it being a style of music on it's own really. I've heard of Ok Go before but never really listened to them properly. Any other bands like this other than the 2 you mentioned? I will try and get some of their music since I think it's pretty good.

Would you think Hot Hot Heat would fall under this genre? How about The Go! Team? I like both their work.

I actually really liked that. I'll check out those bands you mentioned.

Hah, that was an awsome movie video.

Music, suprisingly, wasn't bad either!

Def. Phil. 8-) Also Hello Goodbye, The Postal Service and Mates of the State. So its looking like this so far.

The Perishers.

Snow Patrol.

Hot Hot Heat.

The Go! Team.

Hello Goodbye.

The Postal Service.

Mates of the State.

Can anyone think of anyone else that would fall under this genre? Well of course its rock... but anything you think that is similar with background sounds and the such.

Yay! Another OK Go fan! That's awesome, are so are their music videos.

You guys think that Hot Hot Heat would fall under the same genre as OK Go?... I hate most of the bands you mentioned including them, but I love me some OK Go. That's kinda weird.

Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

the idea of the video is awesome

I count the Kaiser Chiefs in that group. They're not bad, not great, but just good, harmless fun (except sometimes on your ears).

But hey, if you want cheering up, they don't call it Happy Hardcore for nothing! :P

C-C-C-Cinnamon lips and candy kisses, on my tongue. :P
