I would not suggest Kubuntu on your system, since KDE takes up much more resources than Gnome, but if you really want it all you have to do is: sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop

August 23, 200619 yr That is correct, but I would reccomend using sudo aptitude install xubuntu-desktop for this. It's much easier to remove packages like that with aptitude than with apt. Just to sudo aptitude remove xubuntu-desktop to get rid of it.
