August 9, 200619 yr Ok after the whole magic thread, I talked to a friend about if she thinks there is magic, and she said she belives, and that fate playes a big role. I on the other hand, do not belive in Fate. Chaos on the other hand is something that exists, and that we live everyday with the chance of something happening anywhere, at any time. Think of it this way. Our start point, or birth point exists not on a 2D time line, but a 5D time line (4th being space, 5th being time). Now there is an end point somewhere, and at sometime. This means everyone can die at anytime and anywhere, but it is a fixed time and location, just the knowledge of when and where cannot be known. Now the lives we each live are all diffrent, and many of our lies cross at places(tip.it is one, as we have all found our way here one way or another, and have connected), and with both time and space being infinit, our lives can go anywhere at anytime, even though it heads for the ending point. Thats my two cents, lets hear yours.... Oh forgot, this will explain chaos even better :http://www.imho.com/grae/chaos/chaos.html Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! August 9, 200619 yr I believe in a mixture of chaos and fate. Like there are certain points in your life that you cannot avoid (the most obvious being birth and death. Of course there are other points too) but in between these points, there is chaos, and because of chaos and free will, you can even avoid some of the things you are fated for.
August 9, 200619 yr Personally, discovering why things happen in life is one of the things at the bottom of my priority list. Enjoy life as it is. There's so much things to do as it is without troubling yourself figuring out why things happen. Though I'd like to believe that love in the end is destiny. Two people were made for each other, but it's up to them to make it happen. Confusing for me as it is, so I don't wanna talk about it. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

August 9, 200619 yr Author :? perhaps i should of been more clear. Im hasking how you think you live your life. Do you think it is guided by fate, or is verything chance and happens randomly. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
August 9, 200619 yr I don't believe in fate or destiny at all. Life is based on circumstance and choice. Where, when, and to whom you are born is, in my opinion, purely luck of the draw. What you make of your life is a result of the millions of choices you are presented each day. I don't believe anyone is predestined for anything, they are merely at the mercy of various factors they can and cannot control. I know the price. I pay it gladly.
August 9, 200619 yr Oh forgot, this will explain chaos even better :http://www.imho.com/grae/chaos/chaos.html The literary and mathematical meanings of chaos are a lot different in meaning. The literary version means a ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Ålack of order/form/arrangement̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
August 9, 200619 yr Consider this ... Chaos theory pretty much, like what's his face says, is just extreme sensitivity to initial conditions of a given situation. If you believe in evolution, and chaos theory, then you pretty much concede that 2-3 misplaced oxygen molecules in the prehistoric Earth's atmosphere could have led to mankind developing into creatures completely different from what we are today. Isn't that fun? Whatever .. I believe in fate, in any case. It's just so damn convenient. My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.
August 9, 200619 yr It may seem a contradiction to my magic thread, but I don't believe in fate. I also don't try to explain the meaning of life and stuff with theories. It's pointless, we'll never know. I just appreciate life for all that it brings, and I just so happen to believe it brings magic. But I believe that life will bring you these things on your own accord. Every person, in my belief, has the power to choose their fate and destiny. But only some will take the chance and power and do so. Others, the Hamlets of this world, will be driven by fate created around them. Remember what Snake said to Psycho Mantis: A strong man doesn't read the future, he makes his own That's what I believe. I believe in no pre-determined fate, but life's journey to be as brilliant as you allow it. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
August 9, 200619 yr Ok, it's already been touched upon, Chaos =! Chaos Theory. The two are pretty much opposites; Chaos Theory gives meaning to apparent Chaos. Back to the question - I believe in Fate is the convenient construct of people afraid to embrace the Absurd. In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
August 9, 200619 yr Author Back to the question - I believe in Fate is the convenient construct of people afraid to embrace the Absurd. This is what I said to my friend. I asked her if the idea that she wasnt in control of her life and that anything could happen at anytime was scary. She said it was because it makes her feel more comfortable that something is guiding her to the right places at the right times. Also by this thread im not trying to get at the Why question of life, but The How question. How does your life work, not Why does your life work. The first question is can be given a theory, while the second can never be answered properly. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Behave or I will send my Moose mounted Beaver launchers at you!
