Expanding canoe travel!

Hi, and welome to my thread!

 

i find that canoes, while usefull, are limited by the fact that they are only along the river lum. i suggest that several canoe trees be added to the western river running thu ardy (not sure if it has a name) and around kajarma.

castle wars, 2 options.

 

 

 

for castle wars you can either get off at the island that connects you to the lobby, or you can spectate in your canoe from the river (cannot trade, drop or attack anything to prevent any sort of bad behavior...dang censor....)

 

 

 

Kajarma and surrounding area

 

 

 

northern volcano

 

crandor (must do dragonslayer)

 

ithmus (narrow strech of land connecting 2 large peices)

 

khazari jungle (must start legends quest, at the south centerpoint

 

out to sea (explained later)

 

 

 

new type of tree: tall canoe tree

 

this can be cut down to make 2 normal canoes (1 for u and a freind, or wood is wasted) or to make a new long canoe for fishing. this new tree could be found at the ithmus and feldip hills points.

 

 

 

the long canoe requires 65 woodcutting and 2 ppl to build and operate (only 1 person needs the woodcut) you could take this canoe out to sea to fish, where there is an abundance of fish... and danger!!!!

 

 

 

random events like being caught in freak storms and having swarms of adult hungry sharks would balance out the bounty of fish.

 

 

 

while in the canoe you can set normal fishing nets out and troll fro fish by paddling over spots, harpoon and pole fish normaly. the boat also can carry some extra fish ( besides your inventories), but dont overload it or ur sunk! it would probably be a good idea to leave armor behind. when you are done, you leave the area and head back to where you set off from. the boat will still b there for 5 mins so u can unload it.

I'm hoping that if you sink and die the same thing happens as in trawler fishing, you get washed up with your items still on you.

i like this idea. ive done the trawler mini game and never done good at it. Ive also never gone in the canoes bc idk where to look or anything. It would make canoes a lot more popular than they r now

I think it would be fine if you just added the Ardy-Gnome Stronghold-Castle Wars one. But, hey, it's your idea. Another one for the River Salve would be nice. The temple, to the digsite, to the Duel Arena (there'd be some way to climb the cliff), to just outside of Mort'ton, to Burgh de Rott, to the Ruins of Uzer. Obviously, there would be quests required for some of them. This could be the sailing update coming later this month...maybe...

I started using canoe travel when i was first became a member and was dissapoitned when there wasn't any station on the salve or the one going through ardougne...

 

So i hope that will be the new update this month, if not.... heads will roll!
