sig project (i need some advice)

Featured Replies

ok i've started this little sig project, and this is what i have so far:

basically im going to have some rangers on the turrets(sp?) (are they called turrets?! i dunno) ranging some meleers that are on the ground, i may add a few mages not sure, hell might even add a whole army not sure yet.

anyway the advice. i've finished most of the shading on the castle, have a little left to do. if u look at the right turret you'll see ive added some brick detail, my problem is, should i add the brick detail over the whole of the castle? or should i not bother and leave it with just the shading?

im in 2 minds about it, i feel if i leave it without the brick it'll look to plain, but then if i add the brick im worried it'll look to fussy. what do u guys think?

I'm pretty confident that it'll look a whole lot better bricked.

You should make it bricked. Without it looks steely, you know what I mean?

I want jagex to put resource dungeons and dungeoneering skill doors to dungeoneering floors so I can dungeon and get dungeoneering xp while I dg so I don't have to dg to get dg exp, but I can dg while I dg :)?

Make it bricked. Looks alot cooler. Nice word btw!

yeah i know what u mean it does look sort of metalic. i think i'll take skull's advice and do both, just incase. i'll post a pic when i've finished the bricks and see what u guys think.

i think the army idea will be a bit to much, maybe i'll add just a few rangers and maybe a knight or something patroling the top of the castle, i'll see how it goes. i'll finish the brick first tho. thanks for the advice guys

well, if you really want to make it good, make a village around it.

ok i've finished the brick detail on the castle:

but ive run into sort of a snag concerning the people i wanted to add, i dont think im going to add them anymore. because of the size of the castle, the scale of the people is tiny and they end up looking too flat compared to the rest of the picture. heres just a rough person i made: figurine3.gif it looks to flat because its so small and i cant add shading (and i still think that the person size is to big in contrast with the castle  ).

so i've decided to take bossie's advice and add a village around it instead. :)
