Well i have zonealarm securtiy suite (firewall, anti spyware/virus, pop-up blocker) and i cant see any custom emotes or people display pics on msn messenger. :? Im pretty sure its because of zonealarm, because i had problems with web animations and ZA before, i tried closing ZA and msn worked properly. But i dont know what option is stopping msn from showin emotes and dpics. MSN has full access on ZA so i dont know what the problem is, anyone know what i need to do?

headshot , this is a known problem with ZoneAlarm which traces back to version 6.5 which I believe was released back in 2003. The only solution people on the web have found works is loading ZoneAlarm after MSN.

 

 

 

Yes its a cheesy solution , but until Zonelabs acknowledges the problem and fixes it , then the only other option is installing a different firewall.

K :( Well, ZA loads when windows starts for me, but a couple of times, my comp was on for like a minute without zone alarm, i got the jeefo virus lol (win32.jeefo.a) happened like 4 times lol.

 

 

 

But the thing is, i never had this problem with ZA firewall, it started since i upgraded to the full security suite.

Anyone got some more ideas?

This is a common problem. Now i don't use ZoneAlarm Security Suite again. I used this 3 months ago and i found this problem too. I think it is because of the pop-up blocker. The firewall doesn't have problem. Because now i'm using ONLY zonealarm firewall and the problem 'fixed'. And i installed many other anti-virus and anti-spys to replace ZoneAlarm.

 

Loading firewall AFTER loading msn will be unsecure but this is only the way i think. So just change your software.
