August 27, 200619 yr I'm currently working my range up to level 50 on f2p, I just got level 32 like, 5 minutes ago, but I'm starting to wonder if im doing this right. I have about 400 bronze and 500 iron arrows of which i want to use the bronze first. Im using: -maple short bowon rapid fire -studded body and legs -vambrances -cowl -ammy of defence, so i can get away without safespots on lower level monsters Im currently gonna do level 5 goblins in the goblin village. Please give me any advice you can about how to get my range to level 50 PS, I don't really care about drops
August 27, 200619 yr Around your level I was ranging some lvl 13 zombies, but as long as you can constantly fight a goblin you should be good for a while. You can go to http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=ranged_guide.htm#spots to find some recommended spot for your range level. One thing about your gear: against goblins your shouldn't really need any defense, so you'd be better off wearing a power ammy. As it gives the best bonus to range accuracy on F2P. Goals: 80/80 Range, 75/90 Strength, 77/85 Attack, 64/76 Fishing and crafting 31k natures (o.O)
August 27, 200619 yr Power, the king of ramger amulets in F2P ... +6 to attack and +6 to defence (only 1 less than the defence ammy) - well worth spending 7-10k on at W1 varrock west. Also replace the cowl with a coif - (sold at Scavvo's in the champ's guild or member-crafted - tradable F2P). Minotaurs in the stronghold would increase your iron arrow stock - shoot 'em with bronze, collect them many iron arrow drops, the safe spots (fences) and arrow drops mean a ranger can go in there and not need to come out - ever!
August 27, 200619 yr Go kill Barbarians like I did to get to lvl 40 lol. They drop some bronze arrow sometimes.
