August 27, 200619 yr Ok, I just got a new laptop and I want to set aside 15GB for the Linux OS that I WILL get someday. The long and short of it is: Windows says I need recovery console to do it, which can only be installed from the Setup CD which I dont have because Windows came preinstalled. All I want to do is make a little partition, isn't there an easier way?????
August 27, 200619 yr You can likely resize it from the utility that the Linux installation (environment) gives you to partition your harddrive.

August 27, 200619 yr use partition magic. and who's your computer manufacturer? because i know compaq has something that lets you partition your computer. i believe hp has one too. it's one of those things that you press when you first boot up your computer. pwned
August 27, 200619 yr try getting a knoppix live disk, its a linux Distro. Since you cant partition an active drive, youlll need to boot from the disk. Knoppix has qdisk i belive, and that will do it for you. Current Goals80/80 Fletching60/75 Woodcutting97/100 Combat
