Help - Barrows has changed....

Featured Replies

Hello guys.

Last time I did a few barrows runs was a couple of months ago...

Now I know that barrows has changed - Verac hits through prayer...

(My stats are in sig.)

For armour I usually take full mystic, I use prayer on ALL of the barrows brothers, but now verac can hit through prayer, do I need to take a lot more food and can he hit really high?

Thanks.

So non of the brothers can hit through prayer??

Yes, verac does hit through prayer. He hits less often and lower than he would if you have prayer off. Since the melee brothers are weak against magic, I just wear melee armor anyway while maging them. That way you gain a little more protection from verac. If you choose to continue with mystic, then I'd say bring a few more slots of food at least the first few times, so you can see how much Verac will change your setup.

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.

^^Good advice, but Verac doesn't hit lower if you have prayer on, just left often. Though I'd highly recommend you use some melee protection against Verac.

He genuinely hits lower when melee prayer is on, 15 is his max when you have prayer, but 20's otherwise.

Melee armor is the best way to stop his damage.

I also suggest you NOT to use mystic robes to mage the melee brothers, its a complete waste of prayer pots (especially on Guthan, you are letting him surviving 2x as long with no melee protection), and since your mage is pretty high anyway, your melee armor wont stop you from hitting brothers because their mage defence is also non-existent.

To be honest, you dont need to pray against all the brothers. you should be able to mage guthan and torag wearing full rune - they occasionally hit 23, but not enough to worry you. I mage verac with prayer if i have any left, otherwise i dont bother - he doesn't hit hard enough often enough to worry me.

highest he ever hit on me when i was wearing full ahrims is 14 so yea not nothing to be scared of

I'm currently level 85 combat, and i can do barrows easily with 1 prayer potion, only pray at dharok, verac, karil, and use the rest on ahrim. I kill torag and guthan without prayer using ranger armor, they hit a couple of 23's, just use sidesteps, and use safespots on the tunnel, take 1 extra pot in case karil or ahrim is your tunnel brother.

Lamest attempt at a lure ever.
No, Ive seen "selling easter egg 5m must be level 78 77 or 76 and meet at varrock bar unarmed.
