Speak to that guy in Varrock, the place where you start the quest.

i think you need to speak with diminthesis in east varrock.

If you lose your gauntlets (die wearing them or whatever), return to Dimintheis in East Varrock and he will give them back to you. They will have the same enchantment that you originally selected.
