some quick drawings

I know I've already got 2 threads on the go but, really this is the 2nd one to do with my work. :notalk:

 

 

 

Im trying to get the hang of just spontaniously drawing things around me, whether im in the mood or not.. people tend to only draw something with the intentions of it being better than their last drawing, but I find the more you work the quicker you do get better, whether half your drawing are rubbish or not..

 

 

 

These were drawn very quickly, as in I only spent tops, 10 minutes on each drawing..

 

 

 

I drew my mom while she was watching tv, not a flattering pose but it does look like her. Just used a black biro on a rough piece of paper. If she looks old it's cus she's 48. Not a great drawin but wtever.. I'd feel better posting worst and best work, cus no one's perfect.

I don't have many interesting objects in my house, so I bundled together some stuff from the beach, a shell, a stone and a some driftwood.. Didn't finish but wtever :-k , they were really tiny and I drew em pretty big just using a 2B pencil.

Here I couldn't get to sleep, it was like 4am so I just sketched and built up this drawing of a diet coke can, the proportions are terrible and it's very rough/sketchy in places but I do think it has a good atmosphere.. It looks like it was maybe done in the late hours of the night.. I personally hate it though but it was a rush.

I did these from like 10pm last night to 8am this morning, didn't sleep last night due to a throbbing headache :wall: . I'll keep this updated in the near future with more random drawings. :? don't claim to be a great artist but I do enjoy this sort of stuff.

I agree that I only draw things when I want to, although i'm never near anything/anyone near interesting to draw. The nearest I come to interesting is my Sooty & Sweep puppets. I am never going to get rid of them, they were my childhood.

 

 

 

I'm not really sure what your mother or those shells looks like in real life, but somethings about the can doesn't seem quite right. It might be because I lack artistic talent, or I may be on to something. The top half seems a bit flat and the top edge seems to curved compared to the bottom. Really, I don't think you should be able to see the (near) whole of the drinking metal part thingy ( Shut up, I don't know what to call it. =( ).

 

Oh, and interesting blue for a shadow.

 

 

 

Otherwise, good. Comparative to my art. ^_^;
