Item scamming

I was scammed by a guy, but tried to report and was a little late in reporting, so it wouldn't let me report. I am sure he is using this as a secondary character to scam all the time. Is there any way to report this guy, so that when he comes on they watch what he is doing? My guess is no, because they are probably swammped with issues already, but I thought I would at least ask for advice.

Thanks

Yes you are correct, there's not too much you can do about it besides report him when he scammed you.

Most you can do, is hope you see him trying to scam again then report him again.

I was selling stuff for 350k. This other guy traded with me and put in 320k then started adding items. He added a few items then hit accept. The items plus the money were worth a little more then 350k so I hit accept twice without reviewing the trade. In the mean time this other guy had switched the 320k for 32k while he was putting items in the trade screen. I did not notice the switch and so I ended up with only 32k plus a few items. To help stop this, I wont take items in trade. If someone tries to give me stuff, I hit decline. I also make sure I look over the trade very carefully after I hit the first accept and make sure they haven't switched the amount in the mean time. I have had a couple of guys make switches on even small trades..... so I have learned the hard way on them as well. They don't bother me much, but just serve as a reminder to really watch things, so I don't get taken on a large trade in the future. Being taken on a small trade, if I forget, just help reminds me to be more vigilant, so I feel the loss is worth it. All of it makes me sad, :wall: you really have to watch what you do. Just be careful all of you.

The easiest way to beat that scam is to never press accept yourself - wait until he has pressed accept, so you can view the pictures. I find they show up scamming better than the words, as it is easy to leave of a zero. Lucky for you you only lost 300k. I lost 4m on that scam.
