I was wondering, is it any use raising your strength level above a "max hit limit" (str 88 for example where I get a max hit of 19 with a schimy) if you don't intend to reach the next one?

 

 

 

I'm not asking if it would raise my max hit with other weapon types, only if the max hit would get a higher chance of occuring.

 

 

 

I guess it's left to speculations really, but yeh.

if ur training with a wep that only has a max hit of say 14. then there would be no point in raisin ur strength lvl any higher than it needs to be to deal 14 damage. i hope that came out right

The formula for max hit actually gives a decimal. Jagex truncates the decimal in the actual game.

 

 

 

Technically, your max hit is still being raised when you are at "in-between" levels. The likelihood of hitting anything above your "integer max hit" (the integer value of your max hit) is increased. So yes, raising in-between levels does help you hit more often.

 

 

 

For example,

 

If you can hit 19.5, your *actual* max hit is .5 damage higher than 19. So you will have more instances of hitting anything from 19-19.5 (which all round down to 19) than if you were to hit just 19 and nothing more.

That's because using agressive gives you temporary +3 str.

assuming you are f2p, you should rasise , as if you ever decide to become a member, high str will be a blessing against our fine array of monsters

umm general knowledge, RSC told you when you slected attack type, and it probably says in the KB

ok put it this way evey 2 str levvels you get a new hit i think i must have forgeten...but in the 1st of the 2 you get a better chance to hit your max when you use aggressave you get a beter chance of hiting your max but it wont happen as much
