Nature crafting through the abyss has become apparent to me that it is very profitable, if you know what to do. ... "HOLY HELL HE POSTED! IN HIS BLOG!" I hear you cry. Yes, the last few days have been busy for me, spent watching some famous internet shows including Red VS. Blue, as part of a research project i am coming up with to give myself some ideas for my main future series. It's mainly script that is the problem, and over the last few days i have come up with some excellent ideas for a pilot episode. The current weather situation is raining with heavy thunder, and i'm stuck in college. Flash is now working at full speed at home, which is nice. Might get round to practicing more actual animation later. For now, minions, i must be off to fight the good fight. Ta-ta for now! EDIT: Crikey! I got a wild thunderstorm near me! pizzalord1 Posted October 20, 2006 Author Share Posted October 20, 2006 Change of plan, guys... Big post ahead, some important stuff in here. The party hat war is on hold. This is because i feel that i would have to rush it to make it for a christmas premier, and that is because i have not yet mastered the method i want to use to make it. I really wanted it to be out before christmas, but at this point that doesn't look very likely, unless i suddenly become a pro overnight. That and i have so many ideas floating around in my head, they keep swapping around, and i think i might overload the flash with so many ideas nobody would have a clue what is going. Theres too many ideas i want to use to fit in one animation, so i might have to split it up. Because i have most of the animation techniques down already, i think i may have a go at a sprite based flash for the time being. The main issue with the party hat war is the drawing part, so with a sprite based flash, i don't think that will be so much of a problem. First off, i have a great peice of music in my album which i think i will use as a base for the movie. I don't want to reveal too much until i premier it, so you lot will just have to wait. Lets make it a surprise :wink: If i can get it out in november, what with the Wii coming out and all, i might do another christmas themed one. In that case, i will hold a premier party with a relatively small drop party for the November movie if that is the case. If you have read this far, i thank you. If you have simply scrolled past most of the above writing, i thank you if only for reading some of the funny bits and maybe looking at some of the images in my blog. If you are only here for the RuneScape bits, tough! You can't have one without the other \ As for those who were really looking forward to the party hat war, once i have my ideas under a tight leash, i can assure you that it will turn out for the better. pizzalord1 Posted October 28, 2006 Author Share Posted October 28, 2006 An extra-long post and the quest for a master wand Runescape I've gotten tired of my current armor and weapon setup, so today i am going to begin my campaign for some upgraded equipment, starting with my mage equipment. For this i will use runecrafting for every "expensive rune" i use to get my items upgraded. I already have bones to peaches, now its time to finish the rest. Today i will make 1k natures, and get the graveyard points for a master wand, then i will work on the high alchemy runes tomorrow. I managed to get quite a few levels since the last post. Flash animation I've been practising lately, and i have decided to concentrate on just one project for a christmas premier, and it is something completly new. Something that lasts for at least 3 mins, but maybe a bit more Tween intensive. And for those of you who don't know what a Tween is, it is a feature of flash that makes something move for you. I'm still working out the story in my mind, but i can tell you this much, i'm hoping for this to be an introduction to a series i have in mind. Games Wow, new regular feature here. Basically, i am going to talk about anything else i have been playing recently, and what i hope to play in the future, mainly console games. More recently, i've been playing Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on my Gamecube, which i think it might be on it's last legs. Thats why in december i will be picking up a new Wii for Zelda: Twilight princess and Red Steel, both of which look fantastic. UPDATE: got permission to pre-order a Wii tonight, Which means that come friday the 8th of december, i'll be playing a new Zelda game. I'm currently considering what to get, probably will skip Red steel in favor of Wii play till christmas. Roundup: Hopefully these big posts will turn into a weekly thing, with small updates inbetween, because i never seem to have enough to say in a daily post. Right, well i'd better get on with editing my art thread, not many pictures to post today unfortunately, due to general low quality of many of them. #-o Might start on some of the components of my "Christmas flash" today. Runescape The new hunting skill sounds fantastic, and i am loving the prospect of having to travel across the world. Its only been 4 months since construction, which means that the hunting skill must have been in the planning stages for quite a while now. While it does sound similar to slayer, i hope Jagex show just how different it is to train. Flash I found out that for the live TV show college project we have to create a title sequence and credits using flash, so i am gonna start working on these in my own time to give myself a headstart on everyone :twisted: Games Wii pre-order greenlighted by mum! Having looked into it more, i will be swapping Red Steel on launch for Wii play, for the extra controller, and pretty nice collection of minigames. Two player duck hunt looks fantastic. I've been put on heavy painkillers, so i am gonna probably out cold within an hour. I am not going on RuneScape, for fear of doing something stupid and loosing my armor or something along those lines. Still hurts like hell right now, and this will probably be the last you lot will hear from me for a day or so. Friday night the painkillers kicked in during my game of castle wars, woke up an hour later without that games tickets. :wall: After finishing the new quest yesterday i just didn't feel much like playing, so i got bugger all done. #-o Flash animation Ago go, baby! Been practising alot more, but my copy of flash runs out soon, so i have to get into college and get it unlocked. Read on for why i haven't been able to do it yet. Also, for the christmas project, over the last few days i came up with a hell of a lot of new ideas, especially after watching Torchwood on sunday evening, and it takes my script somewhere a little more edgy. I hope to have the script for my intro and episode one done by the end of the month, with animation to follow up to the premier. Games This sent my anticipation levels through the roof on saturday. Let the pre-launch hype begin! My week rounded up has been... Crap, to say the least. I've been off college for 2 days, and i'm feeling a lot better now as it is, apart from lack of sleep. Tomorrow is my off-day anyway, so i can start filling in the gaps in my script for the intro. That pretty much covers it for this week, but maybe i can bring you a taster of what is to come soon...
