Aprz
I will place all of my current Bryce 5 works here in order from newest to oldest along with some notes about them so you know what I was trying to make if it is really bad lol :lmfao:. September 10, 2006: I have added water, but it still looks wierd. I am still working on the water. Anyhow, I think the problem is the sand is not darken near the water and the water is missing foam or white edges on the waves. Without dark sand and foamy edges, where the sand and water meets, it looks like the edge of a clif and the water is levitated which it is not. I like my old camera angle so I am going to try to get it there. I am still getting use to the controls. There are hardly any tutorials on Bryce 5 that is free lol so everything I do is really just expirementing. Trying to see what it looks like while making it is also complicated. All you see is lining. Click HERE to see a screen shot of what I mean. In order to see what I am doing, I have to constantly render it and rely on tiny pre render view that is like 50 x 50 which is really small. September 10, 2006: Anyhow, this time, I focused on texture, color, and lighting. I tried making a palm tree on the beach. I spent a lot more time on this one and I tried to perfect it. I did not know how to put water in lol, but I am hoping I will find out eventually :lmfao:. It is hard for me to imagine that I made that lol. September 9, 2006: Above is my first attempt to make a 3D yew tree using Bryce 5 which I recently download and I will be messing around with it to make some goodies. :) ================================================== I have had Bryce 5 since September 6th, 2006. Day 4. ==================================================

Aprz
Well, I have had it for 4 days now and it is pretty much the only thing I've been doing. I got trees, animation, skies, and having one terrain covered, but after that, I know squat. I want to learn more about it. The things Bryce 5 produces are so amazing I personally thinking and I am trying to get the hang of it so I can have a variety of skills in graphics and possibly be able to use this knowledge with future programming skills I'll have hopefully lol. Aprz
I got it from Download.com, but it is a costly program. Eh, I changed my topic slightly so instead of me asking questions about Bryce, I guess I will jsut display my work here and have sort of a Bryce discussion here. Nadril
If i'm not mistaken, isn't Bryce 5 free now?... Keep working at it I guess, although a lot of those are just a simple object put into a scene.
Aprz
Oo.. I just checked and it is still free. Daz Production claimed that it was only going to be free until September 6th. Did they mean until next year or something? Anyhow, click HERE to check out the list of free Bryce related products on Download.com. Nadril, do you have or use Bryce? I don't think it is simple .
Black_Flat
Without meaning to offend, bryce isnt exactly the most complex of tools. None of those images were really made by you they were more so slight adjustments of stock images made by professionals. The scene does look good but im sorry but i feel as though using programs such as Bryce, Poser and DAZstudio is simply taking credit from other peoples work. If you want to impress me, make those pictures in CAD. (don't take too much offence, i havn't had any coffee all morning and im just ranting a bit) Black flat
