Bronze and Rune Platebodies both have -30 Magic 'bonus', Bronze and Rune Platelegs both have -21 Magic 'bonus'. Full armor (platebody -30, platelegs -21, kite shield -8, full helm -6) would give you a -65. I don't know if there is anything 'better' than that. Well, -65 is enough for me, at level 81 magic, to always fail a Curse. If you want to wield an Earth staff (or water staff) then you should also wear green dragon hide vambraces.
