gonpost
Hmm...I think a NIN show could compete... But anyway, I have a chance to go to a Tool show in a few months from now, and I'm looking forward to it. Never been to one of their shows before... Runescape Name: "unbug07"Expand your mind. krunkthemonk
I'm not a big fan of tool but my friend is. Seeing any band in concert is amazing. It's sad that no good bands come here except for today. The rolling stones, sloan and Kanye West performed here about 3 hours ago while I had to scalp off my tickets and work. :wall: The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard. He doesn't know who they are. Maybe it's your fault that you didn't give an explanation and he now isn't interested anymore. Because he thinks TOOL has got a fanbase mosly based on idiots. Not knowing something shouldn't be suposed to be a reason not to click on a topic. Anyway, yes they are great live. jhownz
How2pk anyone with an iq over 50 could have used the context clues and figured it was a band so either hes ingnorant and dont need to be positing or, hes [developmentally delayed]ed. Satenza
Pink Floyd not Pink Floid. And while TOOL are good instrumentaly i can give plenty of bands who are better live. You even said they didn't talk much. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Not once is there any reference in your post containing the words band, musc or anything of the such. For all he knew it could have been a hardware convention with an amazing lightshow. You even said they didn't talk much. I don't see how 'talking' during a concert makes the live preformance better? Here in Holland they just played, and took a little break. They just sat on stage for a few minutes. Have you seen them live? Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Satenza
Talking inbetween fans always gets the audence more livley, and I prefer it when tey don't just stand and play. For example while bands like Motley Crue arn't the greatest in the world they put on a great live performance because of their dynamism on stage and the things they do such as Tommy Lee's spinning drum set. Yes i went with my friend to one of their shows, I wasn't that much of a fan and I'm still not. Does it fit to be all lively and make jokes etc. For me it doesn't. Keeps you out of the experience. TOOL isn't a band to mosh to or something. Then you would say, listen to them at home, because live they aren't very special. But you don't have the amazing light shows, and the big video screens which make the experience so intense. Or Maynard's crazy dances, and you don't see Danny Carey on drums. I think they are great live, I often think back and re-live the experience. It made a lot of impression on me.
