If you choose to interpret my trusting the OP's report of something as 'noticing' it then you are using that word very differently to me; I 'notice' things through personal observation, not second hand report. Your entire argument against him was that you have not personally noticed these things, which is fair enough. It seems strange then to flip and say that even though all your observational evidence stacks up against what the OP originally was saying, nevertheless you now "understand" albeit theoretically that what he is saying is true - that the nature of trading has altered somewhat. To add a little verse. Nevertheless, it is quite the debate regarding homosexuality in the Bible and I tend towards the school of thought that positions the Bible against homosexuality. As I myself am no Christian it doesn't hold any weight over me. A friend of mine who is a Catholic often tries to argue that the Bible does not condemn homosexual sex, but despite his vast knowledge and understanding I still have yet to hear a convincing argument.

Some girls are like that, some straight men are like that too. It is just a personality trait greater enhanced perhaps through the years of abuse or rejection that gay people sometimes can go through. They probably should see a psychoanalyst.

To cite Ayn Rand as better than most other contemporary philosophers is insane. ! This really depends on what you count as philosophy. I've got about twenty pages left of The Stranger and it's been brilliant. Some might say that's not necessarily philosophy, if it weren't for the fact that Camus is constantly associated with absurdism. Camus is pretty decent and is a philosopher, although he would not admit that. To have Ayn Rand anywhere near the top of a Contemporary Philosophers list is insane. Especially when you have people like Michel Foucault, Jacques Lacan, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, Jacques Derrida, Emmanuel Levinas et cetera.

That is a shame. It is a principle interest of mine.
