How do the other weapons compare to the Dragon Scimmy for Training Strength (and Attack to 70 :wink: ). I know that the Dragon Scimmy > All, however I am having a hard time with monkey madness, and am hoping that one of these is a suitable replacment...

i'd say go with the d long

 

it has a decent special

 

the dds is only good for special (and you don't get xp for poison damage)

 

and the rune scimmy would be ok if you cant get a d long (honestly, i wouldn't use a rune scimmy though)

the ddp++ special beats all, after the special is done switch to the d scimmy

The whole point of this thraed is cmparing other weapons to the Dragon Scimmy, as I dislike that quest much!

If you want one, pick D long. D long and Dd(p++) are a nice mix. Try both and pick your favourite really. I liked the long but many like the speed of the dagger. Depends on the monster you are fighting and stuff.

Use a Dlong.

 

 

 

I got to 70 defense with these stats to start, 64 atk 57 str 65 def, using a Dlong. I then got to 70 attack using a Dlong with 64 atk 57 str 65 def to start.

 

 

 

THEN, I got to 60 str with 70 atk 58 str 80 defense using a Dlong, lol. I can't be bothered to do Monkey Madness on this account (It's done on my pure)

Just get out and do Monkey Madness, because using the d scim will save you so much time in training that it will make up for lost time during quest. Plus then you have that quest done, access to the area, lots of exp for doing it, etc.

I guess that is what I am trying to ask, is the Scimmy really that much better, also can anybody link me to a good Monkey Madness Guide?
