Fatigue?

So I've been mining for a while, and one of my friends drops by to keep me company.(how nice) So we exchange mining levels, he's 41 and i'm 56. Thing is he's getting coal like crazy and I'm stuck with almost nothing. I remember old fatigue and around the RS2 switch I heard talk about new fatigue(but I wasn't active then so I don't know).

Anyone know what's going on?

Back in classic, whenever you did anything your Fatigue would slowly go up. When it reached 100%, you could no longer gain Exp in any skill. To get fatigue back to 0%, you'd have to sleep in a bed. You'd click on the bed, then type in a random word it gave you. This was supposed to deter macroers. It didn't work that great, and they scrapped it when they added RS2.

Also, people would PK while at 100% Fatigue to prevent gaining levels.

Maybe he was using the "walk away, do something, and come back"

trick to speed up his mining?

I usually use that to get my Addy and Mith ore faster.
