I don't do abstracts. Still though, it contains cartoonish figures and they're ruined by the lowering of quality. Don't ask me how but some people have an apparantly magical way of shrinking file sizes without changing the file to a .jpg or other quality lowering file type.

October 6, 200619 yr pretty good :) cant give any cc, im not very good with PS.. keep meaning to practice. anyway, how do you save your abstracts? file->save for web? if you go that way (sorry if im repeating what you already know) then you can play around with dif save options, like jpg high/low/medium and differnt png and gif options.. October 6, 200619 yr Homer don't shun jpegs, they're great. As are GIFs. Just because paint saves horrible quality JPGs doesn't mean a $600 quality image-editing program with highly customizable saving options does. I usually save as PNG-8s, since they're not too large, and keep good quality, though JPEGs are very handy, and GIFs are ok-ish. (JPG, JPEG, whatever, they're the same to me.)
October 6, 200619 yr Homer don't shun jpegs, they're great. As are GIFs. My experience is only as a pixeller, nothing else. I don't pretend to know what file types are better for what sigs so you're going to have to take my opinion knowing that I have little knowledge about abstracts.
