I would not buy a machine from a place like that, simply because most student computer companies are there to capitalise on students not knowing where to get one from. Without having looked at it I'd guess that it's either overpriced or made using budget parts.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Just built that PC on Newegg and I could build a better one for cheaper.

Admittedly I'm not taking into account that not everyone knows how to build a PC... Just thought I'd do it as I'm bored...

Could have been cheaper but I was going for your value anyway, and my goal was to build a better PC in general.

General tips: The motherboard you're buying with that PC doesn't have SATA2, so you won't be able to use the 3.0Gb/s that's advertised with the drive.

The memory you chose is not utilising the motherboards max bus speed. Admittedly someone could correct me, as I've not had much experience with DDR2 or AM2 sockets.

I don't understand the video card you chose, it says 2x as if there's 2 of them, and the fact that it says SLI at the end is disturbing as the motherboard doesn't have support for SLI.

Notoriously Trollish.

I also wouldn't buy a machine that had 2x 7600GS cards. I'd wait a month until the next generation cards are out.

Niether would i ^

If you want a new computer, i feel making one off newegg.com is best. I 'made' one recently, and i'm not too bright...If you take your time and have precuations it's really the cheapest/best bet.

There is also ibuypower.com and cyberpowerpc.com but their reputation is questionable (although their prices are rock bottom- not much above newegg)

Keep in mind about their bad reputation alot of people can be bitter and maybe sent in a fake rma and the company wasnt fooled or something. I'm not sure. I decided to cut out the risk and buy off newegg.com (PERFECT PEICES AND SHIPPING :) and build it myself.

thx guys 4 the advice i didnt know that newegg sold customizable gaming pcs

EDIT: i looked at newegg.com but there are no customizable ones. I need to be able to customize my own. Or i might build my own if there is a guide somewhere that walks you through it as if you were a baby.

New egg is where you buy all the parts, if you want to "customize" a computer, build it yourself.

I always say if you've ever played with lego's you can manage to build a computer:

1.) Find the parts you want

2.) Order the parts

3.) ??????

4.) Profit

yea well i'm too scared to be messing with the processor or a motherboard i think i will order a computer with the motherboard and case and SLI put together then i will install the hard drive and RAM myself. i think visionman is the computer to go with and i will order extra parts from newegg or tigerdirect

go to newegg or tigerdirect and get a barebones computer, thats basically what you descibed, as in it's mostly complete but you would just need to toss in an extra component... barebones generally come with mobo, processor, ram, power supply, and sometimes hard drives. It usually is just missing video and sound cards, sometimes a hard drive, and you usually want to upgrade the RAM a bit.
