Featured Replies

Anyone excited about the new iPods and iPhones that are coming out in December. Well, I do. Here are some photos footage.

I already have a 60gb ipod actually so I won't be buying anything from apple for a long time.

The iPod video photos are very VERY VERY obviously fake. The phone is also fake.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Why do you think that? :-s

But seriously, iPhones? Good gosh.

Bleh, once I get off my lazy bum and go to Imageshack, there will be a picture here.

I can't be bothered explaining, why not dig up info on the fake iPod pictures that came out ages ago. The thing is, they were more realistic than these.

I was always of the opinion that turning an iPod into a cellphone was a better idea than turning a cellphone into an .mp3 player.

Well.... they look nice... but I'd rather want a Creative.

At least, I think that.

Just looked at apples iPod website, doesn't mention anything about these.

They do look really fake as well.

Yeah.. now you say, they look really fake. And it's his first post.

Oh, and no, I'm not excited about he new iPods. :P

At least, I think that.

Here's why the video iPod is fake:

Look at the aliasing around the wheel.

Look at the JPEG artifacts on the wheel.

Look at the top left and bottom left corners of the screen, there is a very obvious transition from pure white to the white of the casing, where the picture has been pasted in.

Look at the JPEG artifacts on the menu.

Look how the screen border isn't the same size all round.

Look how the writing on the wheel is almost impossible to read because it is simple a layer that has had its opacity reduced.

Look how the wheel appears higher up in the second image.

The menu is just stolen from a normal iPod with a small bit added on at the bottom.

THE IPOD PICTURE DOESN'T MATCH THE INTERFACE ON THE DAMN IPOD PATENT!

Put simply, if you believe the image is real you need to go to special school.

Yeah, the pics of the "new" video have been out for some time, and someone took the time to show a video on how he photoshopped a normal iPod and made it into that, but a more realistic version.

The iPhone... Maybe it's just me, but that looks exactly like the 3rd gen iPods. Why would Apple design something that has the same layout and design as an old product? Supposedly they are planning on making a phone, but that wouldn't be it.

As far as anyone knows, the only people with pictures of the new iPod and new iPhone are Apple.

Four things:

1. That is a RUMOUR

2. The pictures are STILL FAKE

3. The name of that site is IRONIC

4. You are an IDIOT FOR BELIEVING IT

You'd think that since its only 2 months away that Apple would have said something about it :-k

But with a name like trustedreviews.com it must be true! I don't think so =;

The problem with the gene pool is that there's no lifeguard.

For the record I'm not saying they won't come out in december, just that that part is of spurious origin.

What I AM saying is that if you believe they are photos of it you are thicker than two short planks glued together with stupid glue.

The fake pictures of the interface don't match what is in their patent!

If you read the article it says that the pictures are "fanboy art."

For example:

"...the official 6G iPod (fanboy art above - the current generation is referred to as 5.5) which is to be..."

"...Apple has been informing partner companies that its long awaited ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹ÃâiPhone̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ (fan art again above) will debut..."

I'm not trying to argue with you or anything, just saying people shouldn't expect anything, because it's all speculation.

As a devout follower of Apple merchandise I can tell you two things:

1) The patented touch screen technology that Apple has acquired is only supposedly going to be used on an iPod - and if it is, it will not be before 2007.

2) The Apple phone has been talked about by Apple and Jobs and stands very little chance of being seen before spring 2007.

I don't care about citing sources but if you want to really find out what's going to come out, read around on ThinkSecret.

Use apple.com next time.

Apple would never announce a future product like that on their website. Using their website as a source for information on upcoming products like that would be a complete waste of time.

Nothing new that hasn't been announced is on that website.
