When did they make it two stories.

When i first joined when you were on the second floor the first floor was black. But now on high detail you can see the first floor from the second floor.

I don't know when exactly, but it's been this way for a while. At least since I rejoined over 3 or 4 months ago.

In High Detail mode, you can see the ground level from upper levels, you always have.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Low Detail mode was designed to be less graphic intense, and the bottom floor graphics was a waste of pixels since you couldn't see it in real-time (which you can't on High Detail anyways).
