brandonm41
I started runecrafting yesterday. The only reason I started was because I saw the Air Altar on the world map on this site.:) I can do mist runes but can't seem to find the mist altar. I'm thinking this will be a probelm with alot of the member runes or are they really not good for anything? Brandon new to runecrafting/fletching...well new to alot of member skills cause I'm in my 2nd month of being a member even though runecrafting isnt just a memebr skill but still........... icecube
Are you reffering to combination runes (mist, lava, mud, smoke, etc.) when you say member runes? Most peope don't use those very often, except for the few quests when you need them. The tip.it guide has an explanation on how to make them though. Basically... You have to go to one of the altars (like air or water if you're making mist), bring some rune essence, the other rune type and a talisman of that. You'll use the talisman, the other runes and rune essence in the process. It fails quite often, so you won't get back the exact amount of runes that you expect. An amulet of binding (enchanted emerald necklace) gives 100% binding.
Bashful
there's no mist altar. you can either: go to the air altar, with a water talisman and an equal number of water runes & rune ess. or go to the water altar, with a air talisman and an equal number of air runes & rune ess. meol
When they say you have a 50% chance of failure, it means that you fail, on average, 50% of the runes (if you bring 20 water runes + ess, you'll get out with around 10 mist runes). i discovered this trying to figure it out for Swan Song. This signature is intentionally left blank.
