PumpkinPete112
Ok so my memory level fluxuates from between 3.00-5.00Gigs, i only have 18gigs on the computer. Does anyone know why it fluxuates or know of any ways (programs or other) to get more space back? Thanks Sig
Nadril
Wait. So your saying that your hard drive is going between having 3Gb's full and 5Gb's full, out of a total of 18? At least, I asume your talking about your hard drive, because it's pretty impossible right now to get 18 gig's of ram in a normal PC. Anyways, if it's only taking up 3-5gig's out of 18 I wouldn't worry. However, a good program to clean up your pc is : CCleaner

nvw08
If your computer dosen't have a lot of ram, and you have a large page file set, I believe that this can cause space to be taken up on your HDD, and when you close things down, meaning less memory is needed, that space would appear to come back. zonda
Also worth it to compress and defrag all your files. ...
Kinslayer777
And if you're surprised (because you dont have much on it) then a file could be corrupt. Run scndisk under my computer>(local drive X: probably C:)>Properties>Tools>Scandisk I've had a corrupt file show up as 399.gig on my 32mb flash drive :-)
