Theres also a cake stall there. Steal from the cake stall a bit first to get some food, then go after the silk stall. When the guards attack you, wipe them out for some combat xp.

If you look on the map in the above post, you'll notice another silk stall just southwest of the one pointed out. I prefer that one because its not as crowded as the other one (because the spot you steal from is out in the open -.- ), though if there's two people thieving, you can time your clicks so that the other person always gets the guard/knight :P
