I made it using photoshop CS2. It is quite simple but it does take awhile to get it right. I don't have much to say, but i would really appreciate some CC!

Well, it would all depend on what look you were going for... you may have totally captured it or be completely off base...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personally I do not know why those dots are in the image and why they are orange and hard bevelled. So to me that looks poorly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You have a dark to light gradient which it appears you were trying to make look like metal... CS2 actually has a nice metal already built into it which you could tweak. There are also some very nice metal tutorials out there so you may want to give that another look :).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The font is ok, I think if you went with an inner bevel and maybe adjusted the opacity a bit you could give it an appearance of being etched in.

Edit: Afterthought, wondering if you meant the dots to be rust? If so there are some great aged metal and rust totorials just search for those key terms :)

Nice banner, the colour in the dots almost makes them look like lava?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I like the font style, the whole thing seems a bit hard and bold, but I guess that's what you're going for. Make sure it fits in with the style of the website page.

You need some brushes, they can be downloaded at DA, its the best site for photoshop brushes i think.

Thanks for the CC, its the best i've gotten so far. Tip.it is the only place to get some "real" critisism if you ask me. The banner is supposed to be a metal kind of look with lava below it. When i was making it, i origionally intended for it to be a brownish metal on some water but i changed it :)

u can add more then just fancy red dots. use symbols, ur shadings excellent though. flame background looks cool imo 8-)
