as most would say, prayer potions are the way to go...You won't lose ot much if any, or gain...pretty much break even if u plan to gather ur own snape grass. irits are another easy way to go, super atks.

Iv been doing prayer pots usually to get xp, iv recently been doing PC and using that to get herb packs, it works out fairly well too.

I started really working on Herblore at 49. I'm 78 now :D

Basically, unless you have a decent amount of starting cash, kill Chaos Druids, collect good herbs, and make potions until you have about 500k cash. Once you're there, buy unids. Save the ones you can't ID and use the ones you can or sell them. Collect your own seconds and vials to make it easier. Keep buying and using until you're out of cash.

Sell all your potions that you can, then either sell the higher leveled herbs (above ranarr) for 2k each or get them IDed at Nardah and sell them.

I did this and it took a while, but it got me to where I am today. Now I just buy unids and sell pots.

Plus I've made about 8-9m total off herblore since then.

also, by killing water elementals in the workshop, you get all the vials you need already filled with water. the elementals drop herbs and runes as well as other stuff but every water elem will drop a vial as well as something else.

My herblore is 64 and i usually put the herbs in vial as soon as i get them. then all i have to do is add the secondary ingredient to finish when i have time.

Famring herbs isn't exactly fun, but every bit helps with lvl'ing up with herblore. Depending on your money situation I would definitely buy an, "amulet of nature" especially if you plan to grow higher lvl herbs. (That way you won't be "stuck" watching 'em grow.)

Of course, killing stuff for herbs is soooo much more fun. So definitely work on chaos druids. Depending on your agility the best group is under Yanille. Also, if you have lvl 67 agility or can use a pot to reach it, you can climb the rubble pile and get to the "twisted" guy who drops the sinster key. (You can only fight him using strike spells on him.) With three keys it will fill your bag full of high lvl herbs.
