Broke, lacking moneymaking skills

Featured Replies

Alright, I'm broke, with no runes (I'm a mage), and low moneymaking skills (runecraft, fish, wc, mining/smithing, combat). I kept fighting 1 too many falador guards while holding all my money/runes. OTHER than air running (did that for a while, is extremely boring) what should I do? Should I slog through the boredom of air running? should I just sell 1k oak logs and start merchanting or something from there?

Could somebody please help me?

P.S. I am inherently bad at not spending, instantly, any money I have on runes.

RC:18 mining:33 approx. magic:39 (combat overall approx 30)

WC:32 smithing: 27/28

Edit: I am f2p and I am lacking mage robes/staffs/anti-dragonbreath shield

if youre F2P id either say get 60 woodcutting through willows then cut yews and sell the willows 30-40 ea.

if woodcuttign isnt your thing id say mine essence

Your best bet would be to pick a skill you enjoy and stick with it.

Mining or woodcutting for instance can be good for making some cash.

Go to the Mage tutor to get a few free runes.

Go to mind respawn in lumby castle and collect minds.

Find a member friend who kills a lot but doesn't use their chaos runes because their mage is hi lvl. If I happen to have priv chat on - not just friends only - harass me and I'll give you what chaos I may have atm.

Since you're a mage and like it. stick with mage and respawn spots. If you go to the castle in wildy bring a friend to help save you from being pk'd or just switch worlds to keep collecting those wonderful runes for free. The wildy moss giant area isn't too bad if you bring a few friends to guard while you collect the chaos respawns.

Hang around the goblin area for air respawn - yeah i know it's only 1 but you're poor so....

Raise your rc and mine a lot of ess so you don't have to depend on respawns

Happy RS-ing!

Another one would to mine coal, It's slow and boring but it makes money.

Another would be to get your woodcutting up and selling that.

You could stick with air running, but if your so bored why not just be a skiller for a while, get your other skills up until you know you can make money, like lobsters, woodcut.

The way I do it, is one day I'll do one thing like fishing, the next I'll woodcut. It saves having to do the same thing everyday and makes you go off the game!

pace yourself and you'll be making money in no time =]

Buy like 100 Laws, get 100 Wines of Zamorak from that altar place, sell, buy more laws, repeat. It's a good way of making money.
