game_guy02
Meh. World 126, idea copyright Game_Guy02 2006. Just fish the lobs, let people pay what they will for uncooked, and we'll go from there. Everyone who says they want to support this idea, get on 126, and fish and explain. distilledwill
already there dude, its going well... ive been asking for 10gp each but people usually give more. Itd be nice to get a few more buyers down here though!
bigdrizzle13
yeah ive been fishing there too. . not got many buyers either. . . .and the whole idea was not necessarily yours. . .i heard of this a while back but it never picked up. . .. and i think someone also tried a similar idea with fly fishing in barb village. PhelimReagh
I haven't posted that thing anywhere. Just looking for feedback at this point. And I'll post the code once it's finalized so whomever it was who had the original idea can post it. I'm not looking to steal credit. I couldn't care less. I just like the idea. 25leaf
had some merchating to finish up today. should be there this weekend though. I like the cooked idea (my orignal plan had something sort of like it) but it needs some work. Looking good people :D
distilledwill
Ive tried this last night and today. It works well if the maths can be done in a second, so ive been selling for 10gp each, they can sell at the store for no less than 45gp (from what i can tell) but theres still not enough buyers to make it efficient. This probably needs to go on the members board. Maybe itll be more popular tonight.
PhelimReagh
I think if people want this idea to take off, they really need to coordinate the idea, and have people committed for about a week. That is, the only skill they train for that week is Fishing. Or cooking if we're going to add that part. So once there are enough supporters lined up, schedule a coordinated "Start Date", and you can get someone to post in RSOF, Tip.it on the relevant boards, and any other sites you can think of (I can post on RSOF). You also are going to have some slow going in the beginning, and folks are going to have to accept the idea that for a while, until word gets out, you're going to have to operate at a loss. So, would the original poster like to build a list of "supporters" and add it to the first post? You can count me in as a cooker.
PhelimReagh
... I like the cooked idea (my orignal plan had something sort of like it) but it needs some work... An actual suggestion would be far more constructive. Please post details regarding the areas where you think it "needs some work". All the supporters need to agree on the details, or else the idea will have a greater chance of failure.

PhelimReagh
By the way, the lynchpin to this whole plan is recruiting runners. I'm not going to be on RS for a good 7-8 more hours, but could someone time how long it takes to walk (not run) from Draynor Bank to Port Sarim, hop a ship to Karamja, and walk to the Lobster pier? We've got to figure out if a runner or merchant can make money at a comporable or better rate than they would if they were running Fast Airs. At this point, if it takes 2 minutes to get from Draynor Bank to Karamja, and we fishers/cookers sold for 10 gp each, runners could make somewhere in the area of 50-60K per hour (selling at 200 each). That's about the same or less than running Fast Airs. As such, I don't think charging more than 10gp per lobby would really be feasible. If it only takes 1.5 minutes, then fishers could charge 20 gp each, and runners could still make 60-70K/hour (selling at 200 each). That would likely end up being successful. As a cooker looking for XP, I'm more than happy buying for "X" gp and selling cooked for that same "X" gp. Most cookers would feel the same if there were ample numbers of fishers and runners. distilledwill
i was only really charging 10gp to see how the buyers reacted, im sure a better price will be negotiated.

All the supporters need to agree on the details, or else the idea will have a greater chance of failure. Having cooker, runners and fishers all at the pier would get crazy. Some people buying raw and some buying cooked would make me go insane. I think the cookers should be place outside draynor bank. There are trees nearby and it would help keep the fishing pier less cluttered. Only haveing one product for one price will work better I think. Another option instead of paying gp, would be offering raw noted lobbys to the fishers. basicly it works the oppsite of running runes. you take full load back. Put it all in bank. Pull out a few in a note. Go back to pier and trade the few noted lobbys for another full load. This mean the fishers could get some cooking xp and a little cash. It also means low lvl players will not need much money to start running the lobbys. Constant selling would not be needed either to supply the "running cost". Just my thought on it. 1alebcay
heres my little bit... Contact as many fan sites as possible with fishing guides and ask them to put in them that the "official unofficial" fishing world is 126. Alot of people look at guides from time to time and a little thing like that would attract alot of attention. For a start I would say contact Kiara Kat, and ask her if this could be added to the fishing guide. (and maybe even the main page \ ... :-# ... I can dream can't I) Oh yes, and it would be helpful if someone could post this on the official forums, because I am shure other f2pers that me get on the forums. What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:There is a community?

And the latest pole proves my point, http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?poll=vote&poll_id=31&Answer=5&submit=Vote as of its current standings half of the people who visit tip.it only use the main website, not the forum. ps. it would be helpful if we could have some one influential backing us up... Edit: maybe it would be helpful if you changed the title to something more interesting, and put the basic ideas, like world 126 on your first post.
