~Dark Ice Factory~

 

 

 

Runes are running short in most shops, people are complaining! The "Secret" Rune Essence mine has somehow dissapeared and the Factory has had problems of it's own! What's going on? What's all this worry about some mage? Wish to find out? Pack some warm clothes! Cause it's going to be cold!

 

 

 

Starting Point:

 

 

 

Anbury in Varrock.

1) Speak to Anbury (Conversation Bellow)

 

 

 

You: Hi Anbury, how are things?

 

 

 

Anbury: Not too good thanks.

 

 

 

You: What's wrong?

 

 

 

Anbury: I'm running low on runes! I haven't recieved a shipment in months! I'm on my last few boxes!

 

 

 

You: Who makes them?

 

 

 

Anbury: Well, the people who make all runes for runescape, Dark Ice Runes Co.

 

 

 

You: WOW! They must be pretty good!

 

 

 

Anbury: They are, they make all kinds! But sadly, the Wizards at the Wizards tower say that they have lost Contact with them for a week now and they starting to get concerned that Ice Monsters may have got them.

 

 

 

You: Ice Monsters?!

 

 

 

Anbury: Yes, Ice Monsters, their Factory is located on White Wolf Mountain, but yet, they send all the runes out on the boat just near it! Even worse, their boat is not their. It's getting worse for me by the minuite.

 

 

 

You: I could help out!

 

 

 

Anbury: You would?! Wonderful! Here have this key, it will get you inside the factory itself. *Anbury Gives you the "Factory Key"*

 

 

 

You: Thanks! I'll be on my way!

 

 

 

Anbury: Good luck! Oh by the way...

 

 

 

You: Yes?

 

 

 

Anbury: Stop by the Wizards Tower after you found out and sorted the problem at the Factory, then come back to me.

 

 

 

You: Will do!

 

 

 

2) Head over to White Wolf Mountain and there will be a Shack near the Gnome Glider, Use the Key on it and go down.

 

 

 

3) Welcome to the factory! Once you opened the door, your key will vanish and you can use the door anytime you like. Now go down the corridor, and open the door and you will soon notice, Ice Warriors! Level 57! They are agressive but run past them and climb up the ladder, then you will see a Man hiding behind some boxes, speak to him and he will say:

 

 

 

Man: Who is there?

 

 

 

You: I'm here sent by Anbury to help you.

 

 

 

Man: Well it's good to see that someone came! Now, I am Axel, a Runecrafter. You are?

 

 

 

You: I am (Your name)

 

 

 

Axel: Pleased to meet you, now to tell you what's happened here. We were making runes as usual until an Ice King came!

 

 

 

You: Really?!

 

 

 

Axel: Yes! He came with hundreds of men, but we cained them, but he remained and my fellow mages cowered away. Now I remain

 

 

 

You: Where did the others go?

 

 

 

Axel: I don't know. Somewhere safe, I think they went away on the ship.

 

 

 

You: I'll help you restore this place, where did the Ice King go?

 

 

 

Axel: I don't know, somewhere here though, try opening doors, they have Puzzels on them to keep them safe.

 

 

 

4) Go back down the ladder and go to door to the east of the ladder, it's a puzzle box! In a shape of a Water Rune! Complete it and open the door, it's the Ice King (Level 187) he uses Melee attacks and very rarely some weak ice ones. Once he is dead, he will drop a key, go back through the door, climb the ladder, speak to Axel.

 

 

 

You: Axel, the Ice King is dead!

 

 

 

Axel: Really?! Great! Now we can go ahead on restoring the Factory!

 

 

 

You: Okay, but he also dropped this key, got any idea what it opens?

 

 

 

Axel: It's the key we need, it opens the door south of the ladder, it has our unique way of making our runes with ease.

 

 

 

You: Really? I can't wait!

 

 

 

5) Use the Key on the door and walk through. You will notice a Teleport Gate shell. Speak to Axel:

 

 

 

You: What is that?

 

 

 

Axel: It's our teleporter to take us to common Altars across the world.

 

 

 

You: How does it work?

 

 

 

Axel: Simple, we put the Talisman in this holder and pull the lever, then the teleporter traces it's pulling direction and when we walk through, we appear at the altar!

 

 

 

You: Amazing!

 

 

 

Axel: Thanks! But sadly, it appears they have broken everything, it will take time to rebuild it, but that will take a few moments, but I need is the following:

 

 

 

25 Cosmics

 

 

 

50 Airs

 

 

 

50 Waters

 

 

 

50 Fires

 

 

 

5 Bloods

 

 

 

You: How come you need all of them?

 

 

 

Axel: Well, the machine needs a sample of the rune that the Talisman can convert the Essence into the Element of the Talisman.

 

 

 

You: Interesting, I will bring you the runes.

 

 

 

Axel: Good good! Hurry though!

 

 

 

6) Bring him the Runes.

 

 

 

Axel: Great work! Now we can get this machine up and running! Here goes nothing...

 

 

 

*Axels enchants the Mahcine as it springs to life*

 

 

 

Okay, now we need to fix the other machines. The Machine that Box's them! I will need 10 Steel bars and 5 Iron Bars.

 

 

 

7) Bring him the Bars.

 

 

 

Axel: Great! Thanks a Bunch! I will make sure that you are a Member! Be Sure to Drop by Anytime! I think Anbury has something waiting for you.

 

 

 

You: Okay, thanks Axel, see you around!

 

 

 

8) Axel teleports you out of the Factory and you appear outside the Wizards Tower, speak to the Head Wizard in the Basement and explain everything that happened.

 

 

 

9) Go back to Anbury and tell him that everything is fixed.

 

 

 

Congratulations! Quest Complete!

i was reading it, just with a few suggestions...was at the very end and was thinking...wow this was really good, he made it so it's not unfair so u can tele to dark ice factory...then *bam*. Abyssal rcing would be killed, this would be A LOT EASIER to craft say chaos runes. Make the ice king harder, because atm its quite easy, no difficult things besides the puzzle. Add another section for it to be hard.

well it isn't really the hard i would say it would be a medium.

 

 

 

well change it so when you finish the water rune puzzle and you have to run through ice guards lvls 80-90 and at the end you have to kill an ice commander lvl 187. then you get a key use it on the door behind him and fight the ice king. it should be around lvl 200+

Seems like a nice idea, I personally don't like the tablets, makes rcing way too easy, and a general store? I know how someone could make 10k nats in about an hour. Bring about 500k and 10k noted p esses and repeat by buying the tablets. Yes it is a change and I like the quest idea, very well thought out but jagex made the abyss in the wilderness to involve risk into making runes. I like the idea but the tablet is a bit much, and so is the general store. I already can see myself getting 99 rc in about a week. :

 

 

 

I wouldn't mind this but thinking of jagex never going to happen.

this quest makes runeecrafting too easy, it would be better if you could only runecraft by this method once a day or something like that

White Wolf mountain is in p2p world so i'm guessing p2p.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think that it is to fast of a way to runecraft It should be more or less like the abyss but outside of wildy. The tele needs to go it makes it crazy fast. Also raise the requirements for the quest quite i bit. Looks like a great quest though!
