Slayer

Hi,

I'm currently level 1 slayer and am looking to get this to level 55 for slayer dart. I'm 91 combat with 70 range and mage. I have a fair bit of disposable cash so money isn't an issue.

I'm wanting to know how i should go about getting the fastest exp and what equipment i should get hold of. I'd be looking to train strength for the entire time so maybe dhoraks?

Should i be starting out with the lost city master?

I have read the AOW slayer guide but i don't think this apply's to me due to my low level.

Any input is much appreciated!

Thanks!

there is really no fast xp in slayer.. all u can do is keep doing assignments .. since ur cb is not that low, i suggest you try the slayer master in edge

EDIT: DO NOT START WITH LOST CITY MASTER!!! she always give hard assignments. i mean when it comes to dagannoths its fine, but she sometimes give u like 50 steel dragons and u gotta switch task..which is annoying.

I belive Chaeldar slayer (the lost city master) is perfect for your level. She has very good assignments and with the new free Lumbridge teleport, she will be a must.

Avoid assignments of dragons or level 100+ monsters (they give good drops but they are slow experience). In that case skip them.

Note that some monsters have secound option, like Baby blue dragons can be used insted of Blue dragons.

For equipment, use Guthan for heal and whip + rune defender for kill. Super set potions are a must for fast leveling. If you dont have guthan, then go with Toraq and good food like monkfish.

right.. like u wear guthan to kill dragons..lol as far as i can read he wanted fast xp, SO! high lvl monster dont means fast xp. they r high xp, but took lot longer than ez monster.

No, i'd start with lost city. In the whole time I've been doing slayer i've not been given steel dragons from lost city once. Sure sometimes you'll get iron and bronze, but bronze are easy and iron are manageable but expensive to fight. The risk of getting a few hard tasks you have to skip is well outweighed by the better monsters + higher amounts.

Although, until your slayer level raises there will be monsters you can't fight yet and so the likelihood of getting harder tasks would increase i presume.

thanks for such quick reply's!

So could i not just skip the hard tasks? or is that a real pain?

Any tips on armour to take? e.g guthans, dhoraks?

Also should i be implementing my range at all or should i stick to melee?

Thank you so much.

of course i do! but its a waste of time that u keep switching assignments and get those 'super ez' ones, like clawing hands etc. those r a waste of time. so, why dont u just go for a easier one and u dont need to switch that many times?! i have tried the lost city ones myself. if u think it's betetr to kill dragons and switch almost every assignments, well maybe thats ur waste time way.

hard tasks like steel dragon is a real pain.... guthans would b helpful, except when it come to dragons. and melee i guess will be your main type of attack at all times. unless request mage attack or range attack.

Ok so i need to use either edge or lost city slayer master and by the sounds of things barrows armour wont really help me?

Is having a large amount of monsters for each assignment a good thing?

Thank you.

EDIT - I'm going to be using dragon scimmy to train my strength with dd's to spec. This a good plan of attack?

Sorry for all of these remedial questions but i have no idea how to go about this.

I realize that NONE of these people have mentioned a black mask yet...............GET IT!!

Ideal items: Full guthan and Full rune/rockshell/Dragon. Whip/D scimmy. Dragon Battleaxe. Around 500 lobs or above in the bank. Lots of laws for teles (unless you plan to use the fairy rings). Always carry ring of dueling since it allows for fast banking (CW teleport). Just message me if you have any questions.

Best master for you right now is the Edgeville master. Once you reach 50-55 slayer, switch over to Lost city. And dont hesitate to switch tasks if you think you'll be in over your head. Check out Axe Man Jack's guide as well.

TASKS TO SKIP:

Turoths

Kurasks

Metal Dragons

Abby Specters (I skip them, although they DO drop good herbs and herbseeds).

Use Full Guthans to heal unless you wanna use a lot of food and frequest trips to bank interrupting your training.

Definitely use the black mask when possible. Keep in mind that some slayer monsters require the use of the nose pin, face mask or spiny helmet ( i might have missed something else).

Training slayer is very good for combat training and also you get good drops for money.

Good luck training slayer. I enjoy it a lot and my goal is to continue on to level 99.

Will using black mask defeat the object of having guthan? surely it will mean the special wont work? or should i be switching to guthan only when i heal?

Only for healing, although you might want to cosnider using it all the time versus the very strong monsters. And melee is the best for fast xp, although using crystal bows on blue dragons and greaters isn't such a bad idea.

Also i have signed up to edgeville slayer master and for some odd reason chealder answers my calls on the enchanted gem, any ideas?

She is your "reccomended" slayer master, for your level.

Im lvl 75 (65 attk,str,60 def) and i use her, she is great XP, because she gives me realy good tasks, any drags (not that often) just burthrope.

Look mate, dont listen to anyone who is under 65 slayer. Most likely, they have no clue what they are talking about because they *think* they're getting good exp. Till you reach 55 slayer, keep going to edgeville slayer master. No matter what anyone says.
