rusty_073
Make steel plates...by far the cheapest, quickest and best way to level smithing.
Malhavok
the highest metal you can use and the best item you can make. You get xp based off of the numbers of bars you use and material. Nothing else. Only other option is smelting ores into bars and using smithing gauntlets is a big plus on gold ores. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year ! Randomnameless
He is not a member so smelting gantlets will not work. You can smelt and smith steel easily and best way. Quicker way is too buy steel bars usually around 500-625 and then just smith them.
jackattack
well if you want to make money too then just buy 1k iron 2k coal for 400-500k and make 1k steel bars then sell them for 550k-600k. then repeat. My carbon footprint is bigger than yours...and you know what they say about big feet. These are the times that try mens souls...
underu2000
This is how i see it: Bronze: Slow and not very easy to obtain in large amounts. But by far the cheapest. Iron: My personal fave, easy to get, excellent exp vs price ratio, and the stuff u make can be sold to stores for a little cash too. Steel: Very common, but expensive. Not as good price:exp as iron, but the steel plates u make can alch for good money. Mith: Quite expensive, and not easy to get in large amounts. But the exp is a lot, and u can sell the mith armor/weps to ppl and maybe manage to get back about half to three-quarters of the cash u spent. Addy: Probably out of ur league to smith these, and is hard to obtain anyway because of rarity and high prices. But addy plates can be sold for a big profit. Rune: Its not really too hard to find actually. I doubt this is a good method of exp, but some of the stuff made from this can make good profit. Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either. phata_elise
It depends on how much money you are prepared to spend. Smithing in f2p is only really profitable when converting ores to bars (and then especially steel). But if you're willing to spend some cash on lvling, buy bars. Better quality bars are more expensive, but provide faster exp. If you decide to use this route, i advise you to smith plates and high alch those. endo
If you want profit in F2p and want to get Smithing xp as well,i suggest smelting ores. If not you can smith steel bars into plates and sell the steel plates 1k ea or high alch for 1.2k per
Sir_Sleeveen
what does high alch mean??
Rednik
High alch is a spell that you use on an item, And when you do that, You will get money. High Alch gives more money than the normal alch... but it requires more runes O:)
