Hello,

I am not totally sure if this is the correct forum section for my post, if it is, please move it to a better section.

I've been around these forums for quite a while, had to rejoin when my account was deleted a while ago for some reason but not a very big poster. A while ago, my RuneScape account was banned without reason and now I am curious about the level of support Jagex has for everyone else.

My account was banned on October 20, 2006. Breaking Rune 7, Macroing. Now this is false, I have played since late 2001 and never used any tools besides the official RuneScape client. I was actually out of town on business at the time so when I got home on the 21st and went to login is how I found out. Under the evidence, there is none listed. So naturally, I appealed it feeling it must have just been a mistake or glitch.

Well it has now been almost a month and I have yet to receive a reply from Jagex, automated or official. My appeal is still Pending and I have no way to contacting them.

My main concern was how someone could play countless hours, pay for a subscription for 4 years and not receive any information on my account. I doubt anyone here can help me with these answers but I was wondering how your experience with the appeal system has worked and how long it usually takes for an answer.

Thanks

I don't know but maybe there is a slight possibility that your account was hacked or used during your period of inactivity, and the person operating it was macroing or autoing.

But maybe you cuold try contacting Jagex again... I'm no good with these kind of subjects o_e

Thanks for the replies. I can guarantee that my account was not hacked due to my profession being in the computer industry I know how viruses and all that fun stuff works. Plus, my other account never had anything happen to it. As far as contacting Jagex goes, what section of the site would I use for this? I have never had to contact them before and this was my first black mark, I wish I knew what for.

I filed a message under the Complaint section after 3 weeks because I am upset with the lack of support I have received and that has got me nowhere.

Hmmm... was that during the time when JaGEx banned a lot of people "mistakenly"?

I remember seeing a lot of threads about that in the Help/Advice forum only a few weeks ago, but don't remember the time frame in which it occured. Anyone?

jagex does this, they have the right to. but it doesnt mean its ethical. my friend was perm banned for asking a pmod a question.

It was like a month ago or something like that a lot of people were banned for some reason or other?
