i downloaded a pk vid and it won't play i was wondering why it says somehting error and widows media won't even open now :(

Right click the file, and go to properties. Look at the type of file.

also, where did you download it from. Especially if it was from an unsecure website, there could possibly be virus', trojan's etc attached to it thats messing up your computer. Virus scanning your computer is a good idea right now.

Most likely it is in a form windows can't play. If you figure what type of file it is you might be able to download a patch form the windows website to play that video.
