Star.
Well at the beggining of school i took two weeks of, the first week i was in hospital. and when i came back i told everyone i had a liver dysfunction [[which was true [my liver was failin because i did something] ]] but that was not all and now that im back in school everyone has been treating me wierdly. for example, my english teacher has sed she would stop her work just to help me :-s and my art teacher didnt give me an after school detention and in maths whilst other were in a seating plan i could sit next to my friend. my science teacher even let me hand in my coursework late. its really wierd but i dont want to be treated this way because i dont want attention. anyway i dont know how to get them to stop .. i cant ask them because im far too shy to do that and i would think of it as rude. has anyone been in a situation like this? ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
michiel2
In my school we got a confidant for problems like that.. don't you have one in your school? At least, I think that.
Barking-Loon
2 options that most likely will work: 1. Dont give them a reason to cut you some slack; don't need help, don't do anything that will give you detention and hand in everything on time. 2. Stop being shy and tell them how you feel. They will understand. And it isn't rude in any way to do that. A recent study shows that 92% of all teenagers have small purple pet elephants named Jack. Put this in your sig if you are one of the 8% who like to do the fandango on Wednesday afternoons
logic-is-overrated
I don't think I can name one person who doesn't treat me differently just because of some condition I have. I lack any type of common sense so I constantly screw things up but nobody says anything or they try to put a positive spin on it just because I'm a manic-depressive or I have sleeping problems or one of a variety of reasons. I think it's sympathy, not empathy and instead of showing concern or care I think instead it kind of sends a message that says that you're not capable of handling your problems so they're going to help you whether you asked for it or not This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.
Nadril
I think they are just trying to be a bit lineiant since you just got back. Perhaps in their eyes your still a bit weary or sick from the dysfunction. If you don't like it you can just explain to them that, while you apriciate them being nice, you don't need the extra help. darkmage099
Don't give them a reason to be sympathetic. See a school counselor. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

Bubsa
Don't say it like you're telling them to "back off", just tell them you appreciate the treatment, but you would like to be treated just as you were before. If you be mature about it, they are bound to respect you for it. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
