well a friend of my was about to send a mail with some nice program I would check out... however I recieved 2 mails from him... I opened both and with 1 mail my windows firewall started to complain about a program requiring network acces. I immidiatelly blocked and deleted the program as I knew it might be a virus. However now, about 1 hour later I noticed my internet connection suddenly became very very laggy/slow. So I wanted to open the task manager to check all processes. Than something very strange happened: task manager closed itself after less than 1 second! it happens the whole time I open it.. as well as by pressing ctrl-alt-del..

a full blow mcaffee check showed 1 "trojan" in my computer.. I deleted it, but still the task manager doesn't work.. What can that be, another virus? - anybody knows a good way (free, I pay already for mcAffee..) to check for virusses? - and does anybody knows a way to get my taskmanager back?

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Norton Antivirus is good for viruses.

I've had viruses very bad though. Norton picked up over 50 Trojans, and even when I deleted them the virus stayed.

Supermonk, proving you wrong since 1992.

i had something like that before except worse, if i clicked any program it showed an error, and i went to task manager and it said run32 dr wattsons post mortom debugger ( :-s ) and i shut down the comp and still stayed like that so i went into safe mode and done system restore + virus checks and its gone... but it happens again.. around once every month and i can't get rid of it.
