Ok i'm not whining, i'm not crying, and all people who say f2p should not get any updates, shut your mouth and don't talk in this forum. Only supporters and mages who agree with me should talk. But look at the stat screen and look at the combat guide. Look at their armors. Look at the stuff they get: bronze, iron, steel, black, mithril, adamant, rune. Look at the ranger guide: leather, hardleather, studded, green dragonhide. Look at mage guide: wizard robes- wait a minute- there is nothing there. You see what I mean? And again, non-supporters, shut up. Either Jagex should bring some of p2p armors to us, or give us more armors. I personally think we should get splitbark because it matches the others: Rune armor=40 def. Green dragonhide=40 def, 40 range. Or make another set. I will make one up in another forum and other mages can post up armor. Any supporters?

I must agree that based on lvl-requirements, it only makes sense to have a lvl 40 mage armor... Though it won't happen, at least not in the near future, I must say I like the idea.

well I agree in the intrest of balance we should at least get a level 40 mage and defence required armour for f2p mages. it would be a nice change to be able to hold my own with a full rune mele player of similer level when im useing fire bolts. think about it mage is suposed to beet mele but with protect from preyer we reely dont stand much of a chance on f2p worlds unless we use fire blasts which cost a fortune. the introduction of a good mage armour would level the playing field alot in my opionion.

If you say if you don't agree don't post then you ruin the chance people who disagree coming up with better ideas for you.

There are two possible solutions that won't make me too mad.

 

 

 

1. Some new level 20 robe. Not too good, not too bad.

 

 

 

2. Make mystic F2P, but only P2P can bring it into the game. So F2P have to buy it off P2P.

i dont think we need more mage armour

 

 

 

what we really need is a better binding spell because current bind is terrible im not even sure it lets us cast 1 spell after stepping back once

 

 

 

i know at low levels mages are good but at about level 35 any other pure can own them and it doesnt take long for regular players to own mages aswell.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

mages need this agaisnt meelers because at the moment mages get hit by warriors faster and harder then they can even use the spell.

 

 

 

mages most mage armours arent for protection theyre for the magic bonuses so mages will keep hiting 16s and keep getting hit by meelers frezing player on spot is the mages way of defence

I would be helpful to add a bit more spacing, to the guy who made the inital post. I do like this idea of having new robes. BUT:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Jagex released hunting, so give um a break for a little bit to clear thier minds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Adding new robes would require a way to obtain them, if you just buy um, then they render the other set of robes useless as you have to kill wizards to get the top for them. And adding a new monster is just being too greedy.

1. We WAIT 2-3 weeks before seriously thinking about bugging them

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. We make the new ropes a rare drop, add a way to hand craft them ( make silk useful perhaps?), or make it so we have to buy it off p2p ( like treasure trails, and colored gloves )

I agree what you are saying but I don't see why people make such a big fuss about 5 dollars... I mean seriously... I do agree that f2p should get some updates but after all they are playing for free so don't you think that jagex would update more of the p2p people? Pretty logical isn't it?

or they could start out with tweeking the blue robe bottom peice which at the moment is just costume to have an attack bonus of around 3 and a defence bonus of 1. also they could change the anti dragon shield to carry no magic penalty or create a new f2p shield for high level mages with defencive atributes simmiler to steel. this would be a good start at leveling the playing field.
