Since you've been able to get your mage lvl for your first two accounts to 60 and 50 respectively, I don't see why you need advice on how to get your current account to lvl 50 mage. :-s

If you want a cheap way, rc airs until you can make minds then make a whole bunch of minds and wind strike. Or maybe rc until you can make earths then make a bunch of airs and minds, get an earth staff and earth strike to 14 so you can do fire strike, then do fire strike the rest of the way.

...then do fire strike the rest of the way.

Fire Strike gives an average of 18 magic exp per cast.

Curse always gives 29 magic exp with every cast.

Curse is about the most cost effective way to raise magic.

Wear any metal armor of full helm, plate, legs, kite, vambraces,

stronghold boots, and a Water or Earth staff.

You want your magic attack stat to be -65 or worse.

Then go and cast (failed) Curses on the 4 zombies in the Varrock sewer ladder room.

Cast from the key room across the water.

Hope this helps

Meh, craft yourself about 200k Air Runes and 100k Mind Runes (It's fun :) ).

Take your cool/fun/good Magic armour.

Go stand on a favorite spot and Mage all the monsters you see, or Walk around Runescape killing everything you see.

It's fun, Fire Strike is really good!

curse works to a certain point only, because eventually your magic will be high enough that even with such negatives in bonus, you will still hit after a while. This is what happened as I reached around lvl 40 mage. So I would also suggest teleporting a couple hundred times to the highest place you can go for magic xp.

Didn't even think about curse training, probably because I never liked it,

but I guess its all about whether you mind clicking all the time.

He should think about Curse training since it's very cost effective.

But, you are right, it does take a lot of clicking.

that even with such negatives in bonus, you will still hit after a while.

That means that you weren't doing it the right way...

This is what happened as I reached around lvl 40 mage.

Funny, I have level 81 magic and I fail every single time

You must dress correctly to get Curse to always fail.

That means that you want your magic attack stat to be -65 or worse.

You can do that with any full metal armor (Bronze works).

Wear full helm, chest plate, legs, kite shield, green vambraces, Earth or Water staff, and stronghold boots or better.

Do not wear any + magic gear. Remember, you want to always fail.

So I would also suggest teleporting a couple hundred times to the highest place you can go for magic xp.

That's gonna be very, very expensive.

Curse gives about 1 magic exp for every 1 gp spent on runes.

The most cost effective Teleport is probably Camelot with an Air staff.

So if I buy Laws for 350 each I can earn 55.5 for each teleport.

That's about 6 gp per magic exp earned.

Compare that with about 1 gp per magic exp earned with Curse...

Hope this helps
