My first sig! [Master Chief] ~Rate?

Alright, this is my first sig, I have it in my sig already but had to reduce quality quite a bit due to the 30kb rule.

Yes I know it is pretty basic. Not to busy, but good enough I think. I know it needs a BORDER. Can anyone help me with that? Like how to go about making one?

Two things that bug me are the background and there's no blending on the render. Don't ask me how to blend the render because I don't know how to. #-o And the background is just odd...

Yes, you need a border. Also, as phooey and sworddude said, the background doesn't match the render. The pink in the background is right out and the style of the crosshatching just doesn't match Master Chief or the entire mood of Halo. Overall, I think it's too bright and the BG doesn't match.
