Under_Score
My sig is 92kbs, whatever that is, and it won't work because the Tip.It limit is 30kb. How do I fix this? It is 400x175 and 92kb. What is the problem?

Under_Score
It only let me save it as .png or bit map, and bit map only made it go down to 80kb. I can't use it I guess, and it's so cool too...

darkblade986
I could probably fix it by changing the file type... But for the non-tech person, let me try and explain this (as you make it sound like you fit the category). KBs is KiloBytes. Kilobytes are the amount of space your harddrive can handle. As a bad, but accurate analogy, consider a 16oz Cup. The cup can hold 16oz of Water. Any more won't fit, so it spills over. For Tip.It, it limits you to 30kb for bandwidth purposes. The reason why your file is so large is because of how much detail you have. Another example would be this. Think of a list you're making for Grocery Shopping. Compare the List Sizes I make: Note that each list contains the same quantity of items. List 1: 1 Dozen Eggs 1 Gallon Milk 1 Carton Ice Cream 1 Lb Meat 1 Brick of Cheese List 2: 3 Cans of Soup 2 Bottles of Hairspray Now while the overall style is different, note how that the second list is smaller, because it's multiple uses of the same item. With your signature, it has too many different pixels on it, and so the computer must use alot of space to keep the picture accurate. For a better example, Open up your Paint program and use Bucket Dump to fill the whole screen Red, then save it. Then take your spray can, and choose random colors, then spray over that Red. Save as a different file, then Right click the files and choose properties, and observe the file sizes. The one with more color takes more space, as will probably be the case with yoru sig. Another way to possibly fix this is to use a different file extension. For example, using a ".gif" extention uses a good handful less space, however quality will be "granulated," as the best term I can think of. This may bring you close, but you may also be required to reduce the size of your picture as well. No where is it a requirement that 1 single picture fill the entire 400x175 area. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
