No Runescape sounds while I am in a second window.

I have no sound if I am in a second window.

Here's what happens.

1. I'll be fighting a monster, and hear all of the fighting sounds.

2. I'll switch to a second window to check something else on the Internet, and the sound stops.

3. If I switch back to the Runescape window, I hear the sounds again.

I still hear the CD I'm playing just fine.

This applies to other sounds in Runescape. (From cooking, etc.)

I never used to have this problem, and it doesn't always happen. Any ideas on what to check?

I NEVER have this problem, and I combo IE6, Winamp, FireFox, and a "Sound Environment Controller".

It sounds like a problem with your PC.

Check your audio drivers and sound chipset. If they don't have hardware multi-channel capability, then there is your culprit. You might be having a software multi-channel handling problem.

Also, check how Windows is handling stuff. System Priority should be on "Programs", not "Background Services". If this is NOT set as I recommend, then change it and try it that way.

I hope all this helps. 8-)

Good idea. I'll give that a try.
