chaosgone
I have no sound if I am in a second window. Here's what happens. 1. I'll be fighting a monster, and hear all of the fighting sounds. 2. I'll switch to a second window to check something else on the Internet, and the sound stops. 3. If I switch back to the Runescape window, I hear the sounds again. I still hear the CD I'm playing just fine. This applies to other sounds in Runescape. (From cooking, etc.) I never used to have this problem, and it doesn't always happen. Any ideas on what to check? http://www.chaosgone.blogspot.com
la la la
Maybe it is a hidden update so that people cannot go to other windows and just listen for when they are done woodcutting or whatever, or when a random event comes.
chaosgone
Since it is an intermittent problem, I don't think that it is a hidden update. Any other ideas? http://www.chaosgone.blogspot.com
X_Seismic_X
As said previously, I think it's probably to stop AFK'ers.

D. V. Devnull
I NEVER have this problem, and I combo IE6, Winamp, FireFox, and a "Sound Environment Controller". It sounds like a problem with your PC. Check your audio drivers and sound chipset. If they don't have hardware multi-channel capability, then there is your culprit. You might be having a software multi-channel handling problem. Also, check how Windows is handling stuff. System Priority should be on "Programs", not "Background Services". If this is NOT set as I recommend, then change it and try it that way. I hope all this helps. 8-) ~Mr. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)

Randomnameless
I don't have that problem. So it is not a problem with the game. As they said check your system.
