General (Normal) ... doesn't add to post count?

Recommended Posts

Hello Tip.It Admins and Mods...

While posting this morning in response to a question in the "General (Non-P2P)" area, I noticed my post count wasn't increasing along with my posts pertaining to the discussions there.

I'm curious, was this a recent change, seeing as I remember that people's post counts used to go up in there? :o

Hope to hear back soon...

Ow, i think i have noticed this problem also... Though, i barely look at my post count....

Not trying to jump on anyone with this explanation, but I look at mine as a reference. (And is how I came across the potential problem.) Why, you might ask? Because if my PPD (Posts Per Day) isn't running an average of 6.25 to 6.5 for me, then I know I haven't done all I can to help a fellow RuneScaper or 7 out of a jam. That's about the time I do this: #-o ...

(Go ahead, have a laugh. I'm laughing just looking at that emote.)

(PPD as of posting: ~6.11 ... ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâñ 0.01 for error after post...)

I went through the various boards and turned post count back on those that should have it. Forum gremlins must be enjoying the holiday season and having fun with the forum's inner workings.

The list given here is still how it should be set up. If you experience any more trouble just post back here and we'll get it fixed. Thanks for letting us know.

Anyway I have experienced that once before, for what I can remember, but I think that got fixed.

I'll give this a quick explanation. Simple long and short of the matter, at one point when my total post count was still down around 550, I got to a point where I didn't know it, but I was being verbally nasty towards Tip.It's Admins/Mods/Crewbies... They sent me a warning over this (my first one here), and I'm kinda glad they did (else I might not be here typing right now), because it gave me a nice wake-up call and set both me and my typing voice back where it should be... Nice and Normal.

(BTW, I forget if there's a "No Voicing the fact that you've been warned" rule on the forums right now... So if a Tip.It Admin/Mod/Crewbie reads this, please excuse me. ...I'm gonna go check rules right now anyway.)

[Edit by Author: Okay, I'm not seeing a rule about it right off, so I hope mentioning due to the quote is safe...]
