yeh thats why it only took a short time to make, i cant see myself being very good at shading. Any suggestions on what programs are best aswell?

For pixel's i would say photoshop. But remember: photoshop is a massive file and takes forever to download.

Your line work isnt all that bad, its just that it looks like you rushed through it a little to much.

Shading:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Draw a dot (5x5 pixels) and that is the "sun", now look at where the "sun light" would hit, (brighter) and where there would be shadows. (darker)

Use the source of light in the room your in and make it darker the farther away you get.

For the program all you need to use is good ol' paint. :)

I would say, try the gallery.

thanks for all the tips ill try to put them to good use especially with taking more time and shading, obviously this isnt top of my priorities though

Thanks d3mon i just had a few goes with the 5 by 5 source of light, after i did it for a bit i picked up a few tricks and such makes it a whole lot easier
